II . Quantum Lattice Hamiltonian with Two - Body Interactions 7 A . Color Codes as Topological Stabilizers 7
1 Abstract Topological color codes are among the stabilizer codes with remarkable properties from quantum information perspective. In this paper we construct a lattice, the so called ruby lattice, with coordination number four governed by a 2-body Hamiltonian. In a particular regime of coupling constants, in the triangular limit, degenerate perturbation theory implies that the low energy spectr...
متن کاملGapped two-body Hamiltonian for continuous-variable quantum computation.
We introduce a family of Hamiltonian systems for measurement-based quantum computation with continuous variables. The Hamiltonians (i) are quadratic, and therefore two body, (ii) are of short range, (iii) are frustration-free, and (iv) possess a constant energy gap proportional to the squared inverse of the squeezing. Their ground states are the celebrated Gaussian graph states, which are unive...
متن کاملTwo and Three-Body Interactions between CO, H2O, and HClO4
Intermolecular interactions of different configurations in the HOClO3···CO and HOClO3···H2O dyad and CO···HOClO3···H2O triad systems have been studied at MP2/6-311++G(2d,2p) computational level. Molecular geometries, binding energies, cooperative energies, many-body interaction energies, and Energy Decomposition Analysis (EDA) were eval...
متن کاملMinimizing Effective Many-Body Interactions
A simple two-level model is developed and used to test the properties of effective interactions for performing nuclear structure calculations in truncated model spaces. It is shown that the effective manybody interactions sensitively depend on the choice of the single-particle basis and they appear to be minimized when a self-consistent HartreeFock basis is used.
متن کاملFrom the Bethe-Salpeter equation to non-relativistic approaches with effective two-body interactions
It is known that binding energies calculated from the Bethe-Salpeter equation in ladder approximation can be reasonably well accounted for by an energy-dependent interaction, at least for the lowest states. It is also known that none of these approaches gives results close to what is obtained by using the same interaction in the so-called instantaneous approximation, which is often employed in ...
